ABOUT THE PROJECT
This two-and-a-half-level apartment, designed for a family of artists, is created to stimulate and inspire the creation of new works of art. The main concept is Dutch apartments, reflected in the color scheme, combination of various textures, and the creative spirit embodied in numerous artistic details.
The interior features include watercolor wallpapers, graphic tiles and murals, which lend the apartment a unique character. The interior is complemented by works of art created by the owners themselves, as well as memorable paintings and collectible posters, each of which has its own history and significance for the family. This is a place where art and life harmoniously blend, creating a unique and inspiring home atmosphere.
CLIENT
Creating a comfortable space for living and creating was an essential task for the family of artists. This space was intended to be a place where they can freely express their creativity and live in harmony with their artworks. The artistic design and bright colors in the apartment's decoration were chosen considering the character and lifestyle of the owners, reflecting their individuality and creative approach.
Additionally, the apartment is equipped with spacious workshops that allow the artists to create their works right at home, meaning that they can immerse themselves in their creativity at any time, without leaving the house.
RESULT
A thoughtful redesign and strategic zoning transformed the apartment, making it not only spacious but also functional. A meticulous attention to detail allowed for efficient utilization of every square meter.
The first floor successfully accommodates several functional zones: a kitchen combined with a living room, a comfortable bedroom, a convenient bathroom, and a unique relaxation area on a podium. This last zone was created in the place of a balcony, adding sophistication and originality to it.
The second floor represents an ideal space for work and relaxation. It houses a large workshop with floor-to-ceiling windows - a place where one can unwind, engage in creativity, or work. Also on the second floor, there is a master bedroom, spacious walk-in closet, and a sizeable bathroom, providing all the necessary conveniences.
A small but incredibly cozy space on the third floor houses a secret office. You can reach this corner by ascending a staircase-shelf, which serves not only as a functional detail, but also an interesting decorative element.
The abundance of decor creates a unique atmosphere of a cozy private gallery, where each item contributes to the overall harmony of the space.
